Through its programme, FIFOI celebrates films that shine a light on the region's territories, stories, people, and creativity through distinctive perspectives and bold artistic visions.
Description
The International Indian Ocean Film Festival (FIFOI), organized by the Hors Champ Réunion Association (HCR), will take place April 5–10, 2027, on Réunion Island for its 4th edition. Dedicated to showcasing the cinematic creativity of the Indian Ocean region and supporting emerging talent, the Festival features several international competitions open to works originating from territories across the Indian Ocean basin.

Our call for entries is currently open to short, medium-length and feature films, fiction works and documentaries, in live action and/or animation shot in one or several countries listed below: South Africa, Comoros, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mozambique, Réunion, Rodrigues, Seychelles, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Zanzibar, and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
