Société des grands projets launched “Illustrate The Grand Paris” program as part of its artistic and cultural
programming for the Grand Paris Express stations. In May 2021, a first call for applications selected 30 professional
artists from the fields of illustration, comics, graphic design, or animation to create permanent murals on the
platforms of stations opening between 2024 and 2027. For the second phase of this project, Société des grands projets is launching a new international call for applications. The aim is to select 33 professional artists from the fields of illustration, comics, graphic design, or animation to
create permanent murals on the platforms of the Grand Paris Express stations.

Details
The commission aims to illustrate and interpret the territories served by Grand Paris
Express stations in a sensitive, metaphorical, or even abstract way. The artistic creations proposed must be
specially designed and produced for this commission. Each winner will be responsible for creating illustrations for one
station, covering an average surface area of about 50m², spread over several panels depending on the platforms.
In partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Institut Français, and the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse
en Seine-Saint-Denis.
