Contexte
The Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) is a key player with recognized expertise in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Indian Ocean region.
The only regional organization in Africa made up entirely of islands, the IOC aims to defend the particularities and specificities of its member states. By pooling resources and raising awareness of the challenges of sustainable development, the IOC promotes the region's “human, cultural and natural diversity”.
Mozambique has been added to the project at the request of the Maputo post, in line with its ambition to forge closer links with the islands of the Indian Ocean.
