Contexte
As part of Création Africa, the Institut français is setting up a FOCUS dedicated to comics and webtoon, aimed at supporting the mobility of players in the African book industry on the French market. This mobility scheme will take place between Angoulême, Paris and Saint-Malo from October 21 to 27, 2024, in partnership with the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image, the Centre national du livre, and the Quai des Bulles festival.
This FOCUS BD & webtoon brings together seventeen professionals from the African continent (authors, illustrators, publishers, cultural entrepreneurs and program managers in these sectors) for a series of professional meetings, conferences, studio visits and immersion in a comics festival between Angoulême, Paris and Saint-Malo.
