The Festival international de théâtre de Cazenga (FESTECA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025 with a special programme of meetings, shows and workshops.

Contexte
It all began in 2006, with 12 theatre groups from the municipality of Cazenga.
And it was in 2009 that FESTECA had its first experience of welcoming foreign theatre companies (from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, France, etc.).
The Alliance française has been supporting this initiative for several years and is working with the organisers to select the French-speaking actor who will take part in the festival.
Goals
To promote theatre and the performing arts to younger generations from an educational and professional point of view
Encouraging cultural exchanges between local populations and international professionals
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence through drama
Expected results
- Raising young people's awareness of theatre and the performing arts
- Strengthening local skills in the field of performing arts
- Giving visibility to theatre as a tool for social cohesion and reflection
- Promoting national history through a participatory artistic approach
