Aleikoum Salam – Music Festival Special Day
To mark the Music Festival, the French Institute of Mauritania is hosting “Aleikoum Salam”, a day dedicated to creativity, youth and urban culture. Organized by Assalamalekoum Cultures as part of the Assalamalekoum Festival, the event transforms the IFM into a veritable artistic village, with concerts, dance performances and digital arts celebrating the diversity of contemporary expression in Mauritania.

As part of the Music Festival, Aleikoum Salam is a must-attend event for Mauritania's creative youth. Organized by Assalamalekoum Cultures at the French Institute of Mauritania, this festive event showcases the country's wealth of musical, dance and digital expression. Conceived as a crossroads of urban cultures, Aleikoum Salam brings together emerging artists, creative collectives and curious audiences around an eclectic and inclusive program. Live concerts, stage performances and interactive installations punctuate this exceptional day of innovation, diversity and sharing. By creating a space for free, collaborative expression, the event showcases Mauritania's contemporary art scene, while strengthening synergies between young talent and local cultural institutions and structures.
