Kiasi Productions Limited is a multimedia audio-visual production and distribution company founded by Esther and Samuel Tebandeke. It is a private limited company incorporated in Uganda in November 2020. The company exists to develop, produce and distribute Afrocentric content that showcases stories from creators of African descent on the continent and the Diaspora.
The organisation maintains a strong commitment to enhancing capacity through the implementation of initiatives designed to bolster infrastructural growth within the creative industry across the African continent. These endeavours encompass a wide array of training programs tailored to individuals of all age groups within the content creation sphere, focusing on areas such as content development, production, marketing, and distribution.
Moreover, the organisation has successfully conducted a series of training sessions covering diverse facets of filmmaking, including screenwriting, cinematography, post-production, and directing, among others. In collaboration with our esteemed partner, Juliana Kabua of Aftales Film Hub in Kenya, we have been conducting the Great Lakes Creative Producers Lab since 2021. This program is specifically crafted to equip aspiring creative producers with the necessary skills to effectively oversee a film project from its inception through to distribution. Our partners in this initiative include the French Embassy in Kenya, Africalia, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Statement Films, Centre National du Cinéma, United States International University Africa, and the International Emerging Film Talents Association.
