As an economist, Laurent Michaud joined IDATE Digiworld in 2000 so as to be consultant in the media business unit. For nearly 20 years, he has managed projects related to the creative industries, video games, and technology.
Laurent has supported 50 players in the video game industry, including developers, publishers, distributors, technology suppliers, and institutions. He has written more than 60 market research reports devoted to game sector.
In 2020, Laurent joined the Icônes ESMA training group as Director of Development.
In 2023, Laurent was invited to become General Manager of the Nextale Games development studio.
In November 2024, Laurent founded the consulting firm OSPEX Consulting, which supports creative industry players in their development and growth. In particular, it makes the link with the animation sector and in this context pursues two objectives: 1/ to support animation studios who intend to transpose their IP into video games 2/ to support video game players who wish to adapt their IP into an animated series or film.
