Details

The Courts Circuit short film residency is an initiative designed to support emerging talent from French-speaking Africa in the development of their projects over a two-week period, for a maximum of 5 projects. It is based on the values of respect for oneself and others, diversity, creativity and inclusion. The residency will take place in Grand-Popo, Benin. Grand-Popo is a peaceful and inspiring destination located on the Atlantic coast of Benin. With its calm atmosphere, beaches and rich cultural heritage, it's an ideal setting for stimulating creativity and reflection around film projects. cinematographic projects. The residency takes place in an environment conducive to concentration, far from the hustle and bustle of big cities. The Résidence Courts Circuit is open to all emerging authors (screenwriters, writer-directors) with original, well-crafted short-film projects. Eligibility criteria

The applicant

- To submit a project, the candidate must be 18 years of age at the time of registration, and no older than 35. - The candidate undertakes to follow all the stages of the residency and to stay in the proposed accommodation.

The projet

- The project must be written in French. - The project must deal with an original subject. In the case of an adaptation, the candidate must have an option to transfer the rights to the adapted work. - The project must be in the process of being written, and must not have been shot yet. - The project may or may not be backed by a production. - The project can be co-written and submitted with the written agreement of the co-writer. Only one person can be hosted during the residency.

Supported formats

Short fiction or documentary film, from 5 to 26 minutes maximum.

Non-compliant projects

More than 15 faults will not be examined.
