Courants du monde program for foreign cultural professionals – immersive long-term residency

Program Overview: What is the “Courants du monde” program for international cultural professionals—Long-Term Individual Track? “Courants du monde” is a hosting program designed for international cultural professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of the French cultural landscape. Conceived as a space for exchange and dialogue, this program has three main objectives: - To share public policies developed by the Ministry as well as the French cultural ecosystem; - To build sustainable networks for exchange among professionals from around the world; - To foster the development of partnerships between French and foreign cultural organizations and among foreign cultural organizations. Objectives of the Initiative The Courants du monde program offers the opportunity for a long-term immersion residency (one to three months) in France at cultural institutions and public entities (Cultural Residency). The goal is to enable professionals from abroad to carry out a concrete cooperation project, deepen a specific skill set, and gain detailed knowledge of a French institution and its practices. As part of this program, specific residencies are offered to initiate and develop joint studies on tracing the provenance of certain objects and collections held in France (Parcours de collections).
