MASA 2026 – MASA Marché

The 14ᵉ edition of the Marché des Arts du Spectacle Africain d'Abidjan (MASA) will be held from April 11 to 18, 2026, in Abidjan. Artistic creations meeting the following conditions are eligible for the official selection: TO PARTICIPATE IN MASA MARCHE - Be an African or African diaspora company or artist; - Present a show less than 3 years old that has never been programmed at MASA. NB: Only companies and artists from Africa or the African diaspora may apply to MASA Marché. Maximum number of artists per discipline (including supervisors and managers): - Humor, slam, storytelling: 3 people - Dance, music, circus, puppetry, theater: 8 people The application must include : 1- A short presentation of the creation (10 lines max) 2- Three high-resolution photos of the stage 3- A biography of the artist or company (including outstanding creations) 4- A video teaser of the show (5 to 7 minutes) 5- A complete recording of the show 6- A technical sheet specifying - Stage dimensions; - Lighting system; - Number of artists on stage; - Set-up/dismantling time; - Weight and volume of sets/accessories; - Cost of show. 7- A cast sheet including - E-mail address and telephone number of contact person; - Departure city (unique for the whole company); - List of names and functions; - Name of stage manager, manager or administrative contact. Application procedure: Applications must be submitted online via the official MASA website: www.masa.ci. Deadline: August 20, 2025. Publication of results: The list of groups retained for official selection will be published no later than December 16, 2025. For further information on MASA Marché: candidatures@masa-ci.org. MASA Festival: candidatures.festival@masa-ci.org NB 1. Members of the same group must travel to Abidjan and back from the same city, which must be specified on the application form. 2. Sets and props must be light and unobtrusive, and transportable on scheduled flights. 3. Any application sent outside this procedure will be considered inadmissible. 4. MASA reserves the right to propose other technical arrangements. 5. All documents submitted remain the property of MASA and will not be used for commercial purposes.
