The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival launches the first edition of its international residency program “La Petite Fabrique”, aimed at emerging filmmakers from West Africa. This initiative aims to support filmmakers in the development of their short film projects.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, with the support of the City of Clermont-Ferrand, the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the French Embassy in Senegal, and the DEENTAL-ACP program implemented by the CNC with the financial collaboration of the European Union and the support of the Organization of ACP States, invites applications for its first international residency for filmmakers from Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Guinea and Gambia.

Step 1
On-site residency at the Jardin Lecoq chalet.
Coaching by a script specialist and a member of the festival programming team. Tailor-made support will be offered: narrative structure, character development, dialogue, treatment, pitch coaching, creation of a presentation file, personalized screenings and access to the festival's video library.
October – December 2025
Step 2
Distance learning.
Regular mentoring and online workshops with speakers to monitor the progress of projects and prepare for participation in the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival and Market.
January 30 – February 7 2026
Step 3
On-site during the festival.
Participation in the Talents Connexion program and the Marché du Film Court. Pitch your projects in a friendly, non-competitive setting, in front of the professionals taking part in the Market. You'll also attend themed workshops.
