As part of the FEF Culture Créatrice d'Avenir project in the Central African Republic (CAR), supported by the French Embassy and the French Alliance of Bangui, we are inviting applications for an artist residency in dance. The aim of this residency is to strengthen the skills of local artists by offering a moment of exchange and creation with an experienced foreign artist based outside the country.

Details

This initiative is part of a drive to promote culture as a vector for development in the CAR. It will enable 10 local artists (men and women) to benefit from professional support and develop their artistic skills in the field of dance through the development of an artistic project. APPLICATION FORM - Applications must include : - A cover letter detailing your artistic background, training experience and interest in this residency. - A detailed curriculum vitae. - Professional references (contact details of people who can testify to your experience). - Examples of your artistic achievements (performance recordings, choreography, etc.). - A proposed program for the 14-day residency, adapted to the Central African context and the objectives of the residency. - A detailed estimate specifying your fees and any technical requirements for the residency.

Goals

Create mutual enrichment with 10 local artists (women and men) in dance techniques (contemporary dance, hip hop, Afro dance, etc.).
Encourage intercultural exchanges and the sharing of experiences between the resident artist and local participants.
Stimulate local choreographic creation and encourage the emergence of new talent
Contribute to the development and strengthening of storytelling in the Central African Republic.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Travel and accommodation expenses : Round-trip travel and accommodation in Bangui will be paid for by the project.
