Cette édition majeure marque l’ouverture aux longs métrages d’animation et le lancement de la 2ᵉ édition du Marché de l’Animation Africaine, avec un programme riche de projections et rencontres professionnelles.

The International Gbaka Animation Festival (FIGA) will take place from October 3 to 10, 2026 in Lomé, Togo, reaffirming its ambition to structure, promote, and connect the African animation ecosystem on an international scale.
The 2026 edition marks a major milestone, featuring the expected حضور of Michel Ocelot, founder of the festival and a leading figure in animation cinema, alongside other key industry players; the official opening to feature-length animated films; the second launch of the African Animation Market (MAA), dedicated to animation schools, studios, producers, and broadcasters from around the world; and an intensive program combining screenings, masterclasses, professional meetings, and roundtables led by influential figures from the artistic and cultural sectors.

FIGA also stands out for its National Competition, activated as soon as a country submits at least five films, in order to strengthen the visibility of local talent and support the emergence of national animation scenes.
