OUR STORY: Nii & Bronwyn

While backpacking through West Africa in 2003, Bronwyn Erion met Nii Addico in his beach village in Kokorobite, Ghana. Bronwyn had always felt that she had been called to Africa and when the couple fell quickly in love, she understood why. Within a few days, Nii and Bronwyn knew that they were meant to spend their lives together.

When Bronwyn returned to Canada, she brought samples of Nii’s work to test the Canadian market and help support Nii while he was still in Ghana. Customers responded so well that the couple was confident Creation Africa would be a success. In 2004, Bronwyn flew back to Ghana – this time to marry Nii in a traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony.

Since Nii’s arrival in Canada in January 2005, Creation Africa has flourished at festivals, exhibitions and private showings. Nii and Bronwyn are living happily in Waterloo with their 4 children, Wisdom, David, Makilda and Lele.
