OUR STORY: Nii & Bronwyn

While backpacking through West Africa in 2003, Bronwyn Erion met Nii Addico in his beach village in Kokorobite, Ghana. Bronwyn had always felt that she had been called to Africa and now she knew why. Within a few days, the couple understood that they were meant to spend their lives together. This fateful meeting has led to a whole new life in Ghana and Canada.

When Bronwyn returned to Canada, she brought samples of Nii’s work to test the Canadian market and help support Nii while he was still in Ghana. Customers responded so well that the couple was confident Creation Africa would be a success. In 2004, Bronwyn had flown back to Ghana – this time to marry Nii in a traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony.

Since Nii’s arrival in Canada in January 2005, Creation Africa has flourished at festivals, exhibitions and private showings. Many clients are excited to learn the history behind Nii’s work and the richness of African cultures.
